Moonlight on a budget

Ok guys you have helped me in the past so I am coming to you again for advice. I am currently looking for moonlighting for my freshwater aquarium. Here is my dilemma, id like to get one that won’t break the bank $40 - $ 80 range. I prefer the white light because I think the blue doesn’t look natural to me. I have a 55 gallon tank so it would have to be 48 inches. If anyone has any pics of there tanks with moonlights I would love to see them.

Hi Carlos: Let me try to take a picture of mine. It might be too dark now.... I'll be right back

It doesn't come out very well. The lights look blue in the picture. and if I take a picture to show it "glowing" in the tank, the photo is too dark to see anything.

This one is the Single Satellite Compact Fluorescent Fixture:

I know it's more than what your looking for, I got it on sale at Dr Foster $125... I Love It!
All my other tanks have either the blue installed in the fixture or the aqualight Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...0&pcatid=12110)
But I agree with you, I like the white better. The white is very soft and natural where the blue lights up the whole room at night.

I used these in white. The white does look natural and adds a nice shimmer to the tank.

I do like them. I would say you would need a total of 4 lights. The only thing I dont like is at least in my hood there wasn't alot of room to install so I had to get creative.

When you say four light’s… you mean to get two units? Each unit comes with two LED’S. Or get four units totaling six LED’S.?
Thank you.

4x2=8 LOL
I would get 4 units total for a 55. One light and 3 lunar links.
