My moon light review

Well i order my moon light system last week and came in this weekend.
Scale 1-5 1 very easy, 5 very hard

Install was about a 2, Was pretty east but did have to drill.
Lights/Construction 4.5, Everything is really good but is home made so looks like its home made a little.
Lights them self 4.5- For my tank its bright enough to see the fish, but not birght enough to see color/or detail\

I would recomend getting the 4 light system like i got for 10-20 gallon and for a 30+ 6 light system at least.

Im going to add another 3-4 light system on another switch.
Also one thing i did not like about system is if you want to turn it off you have to un plug it or do what i did and add a switch (2.99 radio shack) and install it in your hood.

Looks like we got ours from the same people. I installed the same way but did not put in a switch. I dont like plugging and unplugging either, sometimes I just leave them plugged in, you cant tell they are on with the daytime lights on. I'm very pleased with mine too, and I think the fish really enjoy them.

Set both lights on a power bar timer (14.99 at the home depot) The one I bought has 4 spots for timed power, and four direct power. (Im using 2 timed for my lights, and the other 4 for filter, heater, air and such) Each one of the 4 times spots can run on their own schedule, so you can program your moon lights to turn on when your day lights are programed to turn off. Hands free. Worth the 15 bucks! Cheers!
