55 Gallon Tank: 2 foot tube in 4 foot tank

Hi Everyone,

Wood a 2 foot tube provide enough light for a 4 foot tank or would you need a longer tube ?

Anyone has a setup like this is their tank ?

If you have plants no. I would make sure that the WPG is around at least .75 to make most fish happy.

i'd probably say no, what is the wattage on the tube and how many gallons is your tank?

55G Tank, 2x 18 watt tubes side by side each 2 foot long

Thats a little low, only 0.72wpg. You may want to think of getting a longer hood.
