light timers suggestions

I am looking to purchase a power bar with at least two timers on it. Any suggestions?

coralife makes one - with timed outlets; two for one setting, and two for another setting, with 4 un-timed outlets. The readout is digital. I have had pretty good lucjk with mine - though the one part of the segmented display went out - i can still read it. I think overall this unit gets pretty poor performance reviews, though i haven't found another like it.

you can also install your own seperate timers on a power strip, this way your not limited to just two

I am using two independent timers on a power strip right now and it's driving me nuts. They are very inaccurate so I have to adjust them every week, not to mention loud. all night long I hear them ticking. They make more noise than the filter. Coralife sounds promising.

As SonnyJ suggests, I keep things flexible by combining several timers.

In a six footer, Oscar planted tank, I run some lights 12 hours daily (4x20W T-8) with one timer, while others (2x9W CF, 2x11WCF) for eight hours with a second timer, and still other set (6x13W CF) just four hours with a third timer.

I use 6' cord extensions to interconnect everything. Be careful not to overload your timer and it should work safely.

All my tanks' lights are controlled with electro-mechanical timers which cost less and do the work fine.
