20 Gallon hex needs more light

I have a 20 gallon hes that only fits a single 14" 10 watt light bulb. That equates to .5 watts per gallon. I want to try some live plants but I don't even think low lights will fair well in that low of lighting. Anyone else with a 20 gal hex that has solved this issue in any way?

Look into Getting Glass canopy for Hex tank or DIY. google for Power Compact (PC) or T5 units which will fit on you Hex. Am sure you will be able to find more powerful light for your tank.
