plants?

i have a 65 gal. tank, 2 ft. deep. i have 1 36" aqua glow florescent light that is 30 watts. is that enough to grow plants , if not can you recomend a different bulb? the starter for my light is rated for 40 watts, does that mean i cant go higher than 40 watts or can i change the starter? thanks

You'll probably need more light than that to grow anything...
I'd say 1 WPG for lowlight plants would probably do it.
You can't go higher than the rating of the starter, but I've never dealt with them so I'm not sure if you can change out the starter, or need a new fixture...
