For my birthday I am getting my tank hood retrofitted so I will have more than my measly 1.1 WPG. Is there anything I need to know before it happens?

Also, should that make my crypts "melt"?

The only thing to be on a lookout for is that the more light your plants get, the more nutrients and CO2 they'll need to thrive. If you increase that need beyond what the tank naturally provides, you'll need to look into supplementation.

I went from 1.2WPG to 2.4WPG, and my crypts just grew more. No melting at all.
