plant flourecents (is it good for my tank)

hi
i have a 29 gallon tank 45 cm high. i will soon be changing to sand as my substrate and will have alot of plants, do you think i could use a plant flourecent or will it make to much algae, or will it kill my fish with the glare. at the moment i have a normal flourecent tube and everything is doing good but i do want them to be as happy as possible and to grow alot more.
thanks

It's almost impossible to say, since each manufacturer that offers a plant bulb offers something slightly different.

If you happen to have excess nutrients in your water but not enough light for algae to thrive, and if you upgrade to a bulb that emits more light in the red and blue ends of the spectrum than your current bulb, you could see an increase in algae. You also might not. Your fish likely won't care one way or the other what bulb you choose.

In general, plant bulbs are fine for plant growth, but often look worse to the human eye.

Probably.

If the "daylight bulb" is a full-spectrum bulb that has good red and blue light output, the plants will do fine.
