New Lights

hi, the other day i got some new lights. they are 2x 90cm hagen life-glo 30w 18,000k and one 75cm hagen power-glo 25w 18,000k lighting 215 litres of water. will these lights be ok to help my live plants grow? the lights are more purplish than my old ones. i dont know if they will cover the full spectrum because they are all 18000k.

I was sitting here calculating out to gallon, then saw in your sig So 56 gallons and you have 85 watts on the tank. Looks like about 1.25 watts on the tank in the blue spectrum. Plants need light from both the blue and the red spectrums (6500 and 10,000k bulbs are perfect). But what is more important in the intensity of the light and I think 1.25 watts isnt enough for your val, sword, and sagitaria... I dont know about the bacopa (never heard of that one). You really want 3 watts per gallon or more for those guys. Hope that helps!

You will probably want a lower temp bulb since that is pretty high and is not very even across the spectrum. Around 6700K would be ideal.

would i get better plant growth if i replaced the two 30 watt 18,000k bulbs with 30 watt 6,500k bulbs and left the 25 watt one.
