moon lights?

I am just curious of these lights, as I know a lot of you on here have them. I think they would be neat for my 55gal, to watch my fish at night.

My question about them is how do you have them all set up? Also, what all do you need to set up this type of lighting?

Thanks a lot!!

edit:

also, what hoods do you all use? I heard there are hoods that have 3 different types of bulbs (for day, night, dusk, and dawn..)

Where would you get such a hood? I would love to have something like that for my tank..

Hey! I had a power compact light that came with a built in moonlight. I had used it when I was doing saltwater. I switched to fresh to save money and kept the same light. It's a 50/50 bulb, half white, half blue. My neon tetras look amazing. In fact, it brings out the color on everything in the tank. At night, the moonlights come on and it's quite amazing. The fish aren't bothered by it at all. I also only have a 30 gal so it's only one moonlight in the middle of the tank. You could use two or three if you wanted. Just depends on if you buy a compact light that comes built in with one, or if you do it manually. Either way, you will be very very happy and pleased looking at your fish at night.
