Using a second light fixture?

I really want to start getting some live plants for my 75g. But I've a bit of a problem - I'm really short on funds. The light that came with the tank was replaced by the previous owners, its just a 32watt. I'm perfectly happy with trying java moss and once my java fern fills in the 10g, see if that'll work there too. I was thinking - can I use the 40watt light that came with my 22g? Its only 16" but at least that way in one area I'll have better lighting? Not too much better mind you but at least something suitable for low/med light growth?

You could use it but I don't think it will help too much..I think what you would need is a high output light...I would suggest just use low light plants like you said..Try some various amazons..I understand the not having money part..I want a co2 system

Part of it is, I already have plenty I need to save for but I'd like to try and have extra set aside for a nice 5-20g and go all out on it when I move. I'm actually trying to throw together all the junk I've collected over the past 21 years just to get some funds started on my "mini-dream tank". The local places in my area all seem to sell the plants that wont do too well in my tank so I'll just have to get cracking with hunting down some hobbiest in my area or finding those "hole in a wall" fish stores ^^

Thanks!

I have been checking online, the shipping cost is what throws me. As of late I've been stalking aquabid and I actually should be getting some java fern next week or so. If I have a good experiance with the seller I plan to poke around more (great positive feedback but I try never to assume because ya never know).

I've been trying to justify a trip up to Lancaster PA to check out That Pet Place but it just isn't happening anytime soon.
