New Lights, now what to do about the cats

Hi, i just bought a coralife 30" for my 29gal with 2X65 watt 6700k bulbs. Now the question, how do i safeguard the tank to prevent the light from crashing in if one of the cats jump on it. I have it supported on coralife mounting legs, its raised up about 2 inches. I'm sure someone out there has come across this problem before so any suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks

Umm, I am not sure how you can stop a cat from doing anything when we aren't around or awake. Cats most of the time seem to stay off the things that don't look safe.

The first picture is of River the cat about to jump on the light

The second picture is the new legs on the right with the old legs on the left to compare the quality.

The third picture is a nice little feature it pivots for accessing the tank without taking the light off the tank..

$18.00 at Big Al's it seems sturdy so i hope it works...

My lights like that get kind of warm so maybe River will think them uncomfortable.

that is way too cute...what about moving that stand the cat is standing on?

The stand is unmovable.. Its a box covering our water meter, and the printer for the computer sits on top of that. The newly purchased legs for the light seem to be holding up nicely though..
It only seems to be our one cat that is jumping on top now.. So one out of two is still better then both..
