Should i be worried?

I just jimmy rigged a double tube flourescent ligiting fixture up above my tank, but my question is about how safe this set up will be with my bubble wall spraying tiny amounts of water and possibly some making contact with the bulbs. It's a t12 fixture with t12 bulbs and is roughly about 3-6"(i don't have it hanging at the moment and forget the exact measurement) above the water line, the thing is the tubes are open and i do not have any kind of splash guard available. I attached a picture to give an idea of what the fixture and bulbs look like, just ignore the fact that it's only a single bulb, but the look is exactly the same.

it will probably be fine, but you could just put a cheap screen top on the aquarium to stop any stray droplets.

I would not use it! It is not a light made for a aquarium. and water and electricity dont mix to well.

IMO id be scared that my fish would get a shock or two if the water mixed with electricity..

Well i don't really have any options at the moment, ans seeing as i have a planted tank i kinda need the lights running. I've been watching it for the last few hours to see if any major water comes in contact and as far as i can see it's only been tiny amounts of spray from the bubble wall, and i don't see how my fish would get shocked unless the light fell into the water unless i'm missing something and you know something that i don't (which could be likely), please let me know. The bulbs are 3" above the water line, is that high enough? I thought any higher up that maybe most of the light would be wasted.

Hey its your call, if your happy with it cool. its just that it doesn't have the safety features that the normal lighting has when its that close to the water. You got any kids?

Nah no kids and i'm not exactly cool with it lol, but i don't really have a choice for the time being, i have a lot of plants and i need some kind of light running, although now i have raised the lights up to about 5" above the water line even though i know because these are fluorescent most of the light is lost and not a whole lot is making it to my plants, i figure some is better then none. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for someone selling a glass lid that will fit my tank.

It will be fine. There is no way that the fish will get electrocuted unless it falls into the water or the fish jumps into it. The problem with the splashing will be in the longevity of the fixture. It will start to corrode a lot faster with all the build up of calcium and what not.
