Hello people.. I was wondering a little about night lights..

I was hoping to create something custom, I have a few hundred led's lying around and I want to create something...

my question to you is about color...

do the fish care what color I use? I was wanting to use green if that matters...

I use 1 blue LED and 1 green LED in my 30g tall. I don't think it matters to them what color. They just seem to enjoy the mood lighting while we are sleeping

Supposedly they can not see red, but no color does not really matter as long as it is not very bright.

It seems like lunar lights are usually blue but I'm not sure it matters to them either as long as they have enough dark to sleep.

yeah I was only planning on using 4-5 led's... probably less...

it'll be a nice project... the gold/ diamonds substrate didn't go so well burned a hole in my pocket faster then a gold digging wife...

One person had blue LEDs on a timer after their regular lights turned off, and amber LEDs before they turned on in the morning (all on timers). The pictures looked really cool...

that sounds good... but since my schedule is a little erratic, I think that I will just end up putting a simple switch in...

and I will try to put holders in place of led's so that I can change the colors if I wanted to...
