Eclipse hood -- how many power cords?

I can't seem to find an answer to this one -- how many power cords does an Eclipse hood have? I seem to think it only has one, which would make it impossible to put the light on a timer. I'm not particularly thinking of buying one, but I'm curious about how they're powered.

Thanks to anyone who knows!

Re: Eclipse hood -- how many power cords?

I do not have one but I do know it's possible to have only one power cord. I know some tanks similar to eclipse tanks have a power strip on the side or somewhere where you control each different thing such as light, filter etc. I know there are a few eclipse owners on here, hopefully they can come by, I'll pm one too.

Re: Eclipse hood -- how many power cords?

The light can easily be put on a timer as the light has a cord and the filter set-up has a seperate cord. All my tanks have light timers and they work wonderfully. I have had them on the Eclipse 3 gallon, Hex 5 gallon, Eclipse 12 gallon and the Eclipse 2 25 gallon tank and they all work on the same principle. All are possible to put timers on.

P.s. the best timer for the lights is the type that plug directly into the outlet, not the ones on the outlet power strip. They do not work as well.
