Do Kuhli's eat snail eggs?

I know their mouths are too small to eat the larger snails, but I wonder if they eat the eggs. I have snails in the tank that came from some plants I added, and though I remove some with each water change, they're generally kept in control (tank is not completely crowded with them). Two of my three Striped Kuhli Loaches have looked rather fat for some time now, although I never overfeed my fish. Could they be eating the snail eggs in the tank?
ps: They are in a 20g FW planted tank, in which I do weekly water changes of around 30%. Substrate is sand, other tank occupants are 5 Hatchets (silver and marbled), 2 Otos, 4 Ghost Shrimp and of course, the snails.

Thank you! I thought so. They must be eating lots of eggs in the tank, then. They're chubby!

At least now they will never starve. I don't know if it can be prevented. I just read that they will eat eggs.

They can eat all the eggs they want! It's a help.

Ha now your snails don't become a pest. So many people have a snail infestation. I want to get some snails but not an infestation.

Wow! I did not know Khuli Loaches eat snail eggs, that's cool to know. When I had a green spotted puffer (had to take back when found out the petstore gave me wrong information about how big they get) I had fun feeding him snails, but had worried about any stray snails breeding. Thankfully have had no problem, perhaps thanks to Whiskers (my Khuli Loach).

Female kuhlis are a little chunkier than males and when they fill with eggs they are really fat. They very rarely spawn in home aquaria but the females do fill with eggs and almost look like they are rocking on their tummys .
Hope that helps

^That does help, Carol, thank you! Two out of the three look fat, so perhaps they are ladies. Do they lay the eggs, even if they aren't fertilized?
