Adding Loaches to my tank

My tank is just finishing cycling and settling down and I am getting ready to go get my kuhli's. I am looking at 3-4 of them.

2 Questions:

1. Should I add them all at once, one at a time or two at a time?

2. I know they like to jump out of the tank and such. I have a piece to put on the back to keep them in but am afraid they might jump in the filter. I have a Marineland Penguin 150. Can and will they jump up into the biowheel?

i have 4 kuhlis, ive never had them try jumping out, i dont think they would get into your filter. i would add 3 of them together, then if you want another, add it later.
good luck with them, i really enjoy mine

1- when you introduce the fish into the tank, do them all at once so they feel more secure with the company of their own kind

2- your biowheel should have a cover that goes over it? the tank should be covered. The kuhlies dont necessarily 'jump' out the tanks, but they're just good escape artists. They'll usually find their way out of the tank accidently at the corners

By biowheel I mean the area where the water comes out lol I was just worried they might jump up into the flow of it and get stuck.

Well I just added the three newest additions to my 10 gallon. Two are hiding but one is already out and scavenging around the tank for food

I have four coolies and they are the most fascinating bunch of friends in the tank!!! i added mine 2 and 2 for financial reasons and two live in the left caves and the other two the right caves. It's weird because the pairs matched with opposite entrances to the tank.

Well I have definitely decided to add one more. Two are always out and one tends to hide a lot but is out more and more. They are just so much fun. Buuuut.... 20 gallon tank! Setting it up riiiiight now

Wow, MTS affected you easily. LOL. There is 1 saying about kuhli loaches, the more the merrier. I started off with 2 and now I have 5. I dont remember when I got the other 3 though...

I was an easy target for MTS. Trust me. We have one cat and I want two. But this seems bad this time. Moving them to the 20 gallon, doing something else with the 10 gallon, and I have a 5 gallon that is for QT but... It's so hard to resist >.<
