Aren't kuhlis just one of the most entertaining fish ever?

Having been enabled into adding various loaches into my tank by a nameless moderator on this site.

Are Khuli loaches one of the most entertaing fish you can have?

I wanted to go a bed a hour ago but the manic things are putting on such a show I don't even want to turn the tanlk lights down let alone off!

yes they are just hilarious!! They are more active at dawn, dusk, feeding time.
Next you have to have Dojos (Weather Loaches)
My Kuhlis and Dojos swim together but the Dojos are braver. They swim up behind my angels and the angels chase them away then when the angels turn to swim away they swim back uo to the angels and wiggle like their saying nah nah nah. they aren't aggressive at all but are tremendously entertaining.
Glad you are enjoying the Kuhlis you were "enabled" into

Hmmm nice try Carol, but I have nowhere to house a min of 3 10-14" fish at the mo! if I did I would be adding clowns!

I absolutely agree...I adore my three striped Kuhlis and will likely strive to always have some from now on, lol.

Oh yeah clowns are classic They are so funny when they stuff themselves in a tight place or roll over and look dead. Been there. The Dojos don't have as much body mass as clowns so that's why I went with them instead of going back with the Clowns.
Enjoy the Kuhlis.

There's a Chinese restaurant near where I used to live that had fantastic food but, even better, two big fish tanks...well over 200 gallons each (I want to say 280 but am not certain). One housed a large number of clown loaches...every time I went I would swear that one or more of them was dead or stuck in decorations (or both)...then the next time I would come, that fish would be swimming around happy as a clam, and another one would be in the same seemingly dire straits instead

I was honestly concerned the first few times though, lol...even later I would double-take.

So yeah, loaches = entertaining, lol

when I first got my Clowns I used a feeding ring so all the food would fall in one place and the substrate would be easier to keep clean. My chair set at the other end of the tank from the feeding ring so when I set in my chair they would come to my end of the tank and roll over like they were dead then when I would jump up in panic they would jump up and swim down to the end where the feeding ring was Wanted to spank their little fins the first couple of times they did that They are sooo smart.

I have 5 black kuhli loaches - 4 adults that I see all the time and 1 baby that I see occasionally. (No, I didn't get them to breed.)

Right now 2-3 of them are spazzing out and swimming all over the sides of the tank. All of them, but especially the baby, have ADHD (Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder). Just without the AD part.

Haha, I also have 4 black kuhli loaches and they chase a kissing gourami away when I give them some blood worms. Can you picture that? 15cm gourami vs 5cm kuhli loach

I just bought 9 of these loaches. Great fish. I never knew how cool they really were until I started researching them.
