I'm hoping that I can breed my black kuhli loaches and I want to document it. When I went to Wal-mart today, I had no intention of buying any fish, but I saw a kuhli who looked very pregnant and I HAD to get her, along with 2 others, because it's so rare for them to be bred in captivity! I'm hoping to get 3 more soon.

Kuhli Loaches have been bred in captivity more often than other loaches and it still doesn't happen often. but ... it does happen their scientific name- Pangio javanicus has been changed to Pangio oblonga. Here is a a breeding article and an article on Kuhlis

Sadly, the loach that looked pregnant died today :-(. But I have 5 others, so maybe the will breed anyways!
