I'm aftaid the shrimp would starve, Kuhlis are real pigs. The Kuhlis might eat baby shrimp also.

Depends on the shrimp. Amano shrimp (and the other members of caridina species) prefer eating up high, while kuhlis scavenge the bottom. What the amano shrimp will need is something like a piece of driftwood loaded with Java moss to perch on. If you get shrimp that can breed in freshwater, the moss will protect some of the baby shrimp from the kuhlis.

I was thinking of some amano and some ghost shrimp im going to have a few plants in there aswell

I have 3 Kuhlis (larry,curly,and moe) and 4 ghost shrimp and they're all doing well

i have coolies with ghost shrimp, i drop in algae wafers and they all live happily together.
