Replacement husband not welcome !

Hello nice people

Sadly my male krib developed popeye and died.

I bought the largest male LFS had (about same size as the first husband, slightly bigger than her) and introduced him to his new wife. She had paired and bred with her first male for about 10 months.

She seems to loath him. She chases him constantly, bites him, harrasses him at feeding time etc. He now hides in the plants as far from her as possible.

Its been a week. Is she likely to accept him? or will I have to get an annulment and find him a new home? Is there etiquette for introducing a new male to an existing female?

Poor boy is looking very miserable although the colour displays are stunning when they are having a scrap.

Thanks muchly
Helene

whether you add a new m/f, sometimes removing the existing fish , changing around the deco and aquascaping, putting the new fish in for 30 mins, the re add the older fish will work....but each fish is different...

My son is free to a good home.....

Would do him good. Please promise to work him really really hard, dont feed him and moan at him a lot. maybe he'll appreciate me more....

He does carry buckets well though so long as you cut off his internet as incentive.

Also makes good
