albino male krib and reg. fem. krib problems

i have a male albino krib, that has been in my tank for a few months and i introduced a new female krib, about three weeks ago...she's always dancing for him, but he pays little to no attention to her....is something wrong with him? anything i can do to help him pair up with her i'd like to have them spawn...there both pretty good size.....will he ever hook up with her plz help...tx

You can't force a spawn from fish. It could be that the male isn't mature enough to spawn.
Or it could be that he's not interested in that particular female. Give it a little more time.

Hi Raptor, I've had my Kribs for a year or so and they've only spawned 4 times. It took them a few months of being together until they spawned the first time too. As long as the Male is bigger than the Female then they will pair and Spawn in their own time. You just have to be patient.

oh ok, its because i've heard that there maybe problems with the albino strain....but i hope that's not the case....i'll just be patient

Sounds like your female has a jungle fever! lol "hooking up" sounds funny. Good luck!

Actually this is untrue. You CAN force pair fish and breed them. Fish don't enjoy the experience like Humans would, they just have a natural instinct to breed so they arn't as picky. If you gave them a group to pick from sure they'd choose the most flashy mate, but thats not for their own pleasure...they are thinking about their genes being passed on.

I'll echo everyone else, just give it some time. It should happen sooner or later.
