Hello, I have my female krib in a 15 gallon tank with 1 blue ram and some cherry barbs, there has been no agression between them and they have been in the same tank for about 3 or 4 months today she is sitting on the bottom of the tank and looks like she is just barely trying to hold on.. i feel helpless like i cant do anything to save her. The blue ram in the tank shows so sign of illness and they are supposed to be a delicate fish so im guessing its not a problem with the water.. i dont know what to do here.. someone give me some sort of clue

I'm sorry about your little girl.

Could you please fill in the aquarium info, particularly water parameters, so we can offer more specific advice.

I'm amazed there hasn't been aggression issues, as that tank is extremely small for those fish. The Krib alone prefers a minimum 30g.

Can you quarantine her for now?

I'm leaning toward aggression.....you are probly not seein it. The Ram is pickin on her and she is stressed is. You may have had them for 3-4 months and they doin just fine but things can change because they are Cichlids. lol Just have to see what other members have to say. I also think the tank is too small for them and that can be a problem too. She should be moved if you have a q-tine tank. I hope she perks up soon. Good luck!

Hello JView. Sorry to hear your Krib isn't up to par. Knowing your readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate will be a great help. Too as mentioned it could be aggression that you aren't seeing. Best wishes.
