| A community fish? are kribs a community compatible fish? i've seen them in a few vedios in with fish as small as neon tetras but i heard they were nasty, like most other cichlids. |

| Mine live in a community tank and are raising their second lot of fry in there at the moment. They get a little aggressive when they spawn but the other fish soon learn to keep clear. IMO it depends on the tankmates. Mine are with Swords, Guppies, Platies, Corys and Borelli Cichlids, all of whom are smaller and weaker than the Kribs, and thus stay away from the fry. |

| will they be fine with zebra danios, guppies, corys, mollies and kuhli loaches in a 15 gallon tank? possibly a ram and a BN pleco as well.
and just a question, what does IMO mean? |

| IMO = In my opinion. No, that would be far too many fish for a 15gal. A pair of Kribs need a 20gal minumum. Just the Danios, Guppies, Mollies and Kuhlis would be overstocked. |

| there are going to be 3 kuhlis, 2 mollies, 6 guppies and 5 danios. i thought it would be a bit small for a krib, just needed a second opinion, but say if it were a larger tank would they be fine? |

| I'd say so. The only fish that I've no experience of there is the Kuhli, but I don't think there'd be any problems. |

6 guppys at 2-3 inches each is 12-18 inches, which is over stocked. 5 danios = 5 inches, mollies = 3 inches. See? Rather overstocked. If you can get them a much, much larger tank it should be sufficient, but even with guppies growing to their full size, it'll be overstocked.
My larger guppy is 3.5 inches long, and the others are two and a half.
If you're set on all these fish, you'll be performing water changes every day pretty much. |

| I read somewhere that adult kribs will snack on guppies.. any truth to that? |

Here she is with Darwin the Gourami. |

She's never given birth, I've had her about a year, with no males, except now I have a two and a half month juvenile, so I guess we'll have to find out how many babies she's capable of. |

I've only ever had one sucessful guppy batch, and the only reason they're alive is that they swam into my breeding trap through the holes at the bottom. |

| about 6-8 weeks ago one of my previous females gave birth to about 35. i only have 1 alive today. more than half were killed by my angel (they got sucked through the holes in the net) and the other half by my other female guppy (who got them in the nursery tank). |

| As asked above would the krib eat the guppies?? and would a krib be ok with corys?? im worried they might compete for the bottom of the tank? i have a 3 foot tank and want a pair of kribs and some tetras or other schooling fish but def about 6 congo tetras.
What other fish has anyone put their kribs with and been really happy?? |

| I have a pair of kribs in with 5 rosy barbs, 6 odessa barbs, 2 rasboras and a catfish. up to recently they also shared with 3 clown loaches. Before that they shared with some platys.
I think anything thats fast enough to get out of their way is ok and the rasboras only live at the top of the tank so they rarely meet the kribs. Mine live mainly bottom with some forays upwards.
My kribs are breeding so I presume that means they are happy ? babies should emerge any day now. Lovely colours on the female. |

| My krib eats platy fry if they are small enough, so I imagine a kribensis would gladly eat guppy fry. As far as getting along with cories, my krib constantly reminds the platy and danios who the boss is, but he never bothers my albino or pygmy cories, or my ottos. He even eats with the catfish. |
