Unlikely Tankmates

Hi all,
A friend of mine recently got himself a very nice marine tank, after having a tropical tank. The only remnants of this tank were a pair of kribs and their babies in a small tank in his kitchen. When some of his expensive marine fish fell ill and he needed this tank to quarenteen them, me being the only other person with an aquarium that he knew he rang me up and basically said, take these kribs or they will have to be flushed.
My aquarium however is home to 3 very greedy terrapins, so i wasn't sure how they would fair, especially seeing how relentless they are when food is around, any insects i have fed them in the past haven't lasted seconds
However the kribs seem to be doing well, they have been in about a week now, and the turtles don't pose them any problems at all. At first they were really shy and hid all the time, and the turtles did try and chase them a little, but now they don't give them a second look and even the small ones swim freely around the tank totally unphased. If the picture works you'll see the little cave network i've made in the corner, is that the kind of area you think the adults would breed in?

They may breed in there, it was nice of you too take them off of your friend .

Just a question, do you not provide your terrapins with land?

Yea they have a floating platform in the top left, thought they spend most of their time in the water anyway

Ah cool, yea i was surprised when i got them how much character they have. I don't suppose you know of any plants they don't like the taste of? I'd really like some nice plants in there, and i've heard it would be good for the fish, but the terrapins just eat everything

Hmmm
Now i think of it the only plant i can think of is plastic or silk, which i guess isnt as nice as live plants.
Maybe you could try some sort of oxygen weed, like hornwort, get a big bunch of that in the corner and see how long it lasts

Normal pond oxygen weed may work?

I'll probs have to get fake plants then I've tried oxygen weed before, they just munch it up and the bits clog the filter, they are so greedy its untrue :P
