What makes Kribs happy?

Hi, I'm going to be getting another tank in a few months and Im looking into Kribs.
My question is If I don't want to deal with breeding them at the moment, is it better to get just males or just females?
Also could I just get two (either M or F) or are Kribs happier in bigger groups?

it wont matter whether you get male or female, but definetly get the same sex if you donmt want to breed them as it doesnt take them long to pair up, I have 12 at the moment and they shoal in 2 groups, so 5-8 seems like a good number, but you would need a pretty big tank for that, they do get on ok in smaller numbers to. for variety why not get an albino too. btw when/if you do want to breed be aware that if there is an albino female, she will be the one to be chased by males as the red is more vibrant on albino stomachs

Good to know. Will a 75 gallon tank be big enough for a small group?
We'll be getting another tank and putting all our tetras and our pleco in the new tank, so that would leave a good amount of room.

Thanks.

yeh, around about 5 if your breeding, maybe a few more if all the same sex, its a shame ur not in the uk as im selling some of mine as i have too many even with 4 tanks. when planing the tank layout remeber lots of plants and hiding spots, substrate is not too much of an issue, i use sand, many use rocks/large pea gravel
