Match Making issues

hiya guys and gals

a 4 or so months ago i successfully set up my first tropical aquarium wich im glad to say is going so well, thanks largely to the advice and info on fishlore .

in the last month after contracting a serious case of MTS i now Have a pair of krib's ( with the intention of breeding them ) in a 30g tank that i constructed specificaly for them . They have been in a few days now and are getting used to their new environment but they seem to stay in different caves and on their own . i have 2 pearl danios in the tank also for the time being to see if their energy can make them more comfortable.

I did days of research ( while i should of been working ) about everything even remotely Krib related . is it possible they need more time to get used to each other ?

It took mine months to actually breed...yeah they spend a lot of time getting to know each other first. Then look out fry will come on a regular basis.

It always takes a loooong time to get them to start breeding. The worst part is the waiting. When I had my first pair of kribs, it feels like they are not going to breed at all, but they eventually did it and then they just kept breeding and breeding for you. Same thing happened to my first pair of bristlenose plecos. It took 2 years before they even started breeding but once they started, they breed like every month.

That's funny b/c not even 3 days we got our male BN from you our female laid eggs in the angelfish breeding cone.
Something in the water over here on Lakecrest I guess.

thanks for you reply guys

something just doesn't seem right both of them hide in a pile of rocks that i have arranged in the corner and i haven't seen a peep out of them at all . water tests fine slightly up on the nitrates but thats all . with a pH of 7. occasionally i see the male poke his nose just far enough out so i can see him .

maby im just being paranoid .
