Albino Koi Price

what would be a good price in US dollars for two albino koi at about 1 1/2 feet each, that are bonded and have spawned?

That would pretty much be determined by the quality of the koi (are they show quality?) and what people in your area are willing to pay. Google and see if there are any koi clubs in your area, they would be able to help you get a fair price for your koi.

Just for fun, here are some websites that sell koi...

I'm guessing they are both white. Are they true albinos? Do they have red eyes? White Koi are usually called Silver or Platium. If infact they are true albino (silver) I would guess you could get a very good price for them . If they have Black eyes I think you could still get a nice price. I have a Silver Dragon Koi that is just beautiful. Here is a picture of it. The one in front with the black, white, and orange markings is a Butterfly Koi. Don't forget that if you have to ship them the shipping will be very expensive for fish that size.

Also, they do not bond. If seller says they have spawned and bonded...that is not true. In a pond with mixed Koi they group spawn. Breeder pull selected fish for hopeful good colors. Don't pay extra for the bonded thing...they just don't.

Nice fish Whisper!!!! Mine did great this year...approaching 24" now. Not too many babies to get rid of....I took out the string algae so they were able to eat most of the eggs.

Thanks TT. I'm hoping to get some of there spawn next spring and hopefully raise them to sell in my store. I thought aces meant he had them to sell. Oh he wants to buy them? In that case unless he wants top quality fish he can go to his local pet store and get two. I got my three at Petsmart.

Thanks

Thank you all for your information... I got in touch with some people that run a koi farm out here. To answer your question they are Yamabuki koi not albino koi.. they looked like they were until i took them to the farm. They sold for 250.00 each... I had no idea they were worth so much... the reason I said they were a pair is because they were the only ones in the pond and they spawned twice... I figured them to be like some other fish and bond with each other... thanks for the info everyone...

I thought that it was a good price... but I had to give all the money to my Grandma... see they were her fish and she decided to go to a rock pond with the water fall instead of the standard pond.... Thanks again for the information
