In my tank I have koi and there are always little pieces of plants floating and I think they take bites out of plants and dont eat them and just leave them floating. Do they eat plants? For sure they eat bamboo roots for some reason I have seen them.

yes. Koi are little (or not so little) piggies when it comes to plants. they will take bites out of just about any plant that will grow in or on the water.

Maybe if you fed them veggie pellets or veggie flakes they wouldn't eat your plants so bad.

Where do I buy these veggie pellets. At my local fish store? THey might have them. I know they have algea pellets or something like that for both FW and SW.
