Just Discovered Killifish

Wow..they are cool looking.. they kinda have a betta face..with the upturned mouth. I am getting a custom made 36 gallon tank this week.. after my cycle I was planning on Hi-fin Danios, neon tetra, Cherry Barb and a few Cories...would a few Killifish get along with the above mentioned fish?

They're pretty fish, aren't they?

They were spot lighted in the March 2008 edition of Fish Lore magazine.
Here's the article:

The only problem with that article is that it was only on the annual African killifish family of Nothorbranchius. You would need to do lots of research on killifish, mostly because each fish is really different from close relatives.

i lucked into some at petsmart. the golden ones. probably my favorite fish i've ever kept. you just don't want to overfeed them because they will kinda get too big too fast and their heads are too small for their bodies. which gives them a humpback appearance, which i didn't care for.

I noticed some striped panchax at our LFS. Now they really are unusual looking fish! I think they are great. We have two male and two female golden wonder panchax and they have so much character. One of my fave fish. The striped ones seem to have extremely upturned mouths. ;-)
