| | Fish Bum | Panchax welcomes new fish mates We added twelve red eye tetra to our 52 gallon tank. It was really funny... all the (golden wonder) panchax were curious about the floating fish bag, swimming around, seeming to be looking at the new fish. I went away for a few minutes and came back to mix some tank water into the bag and who should be in the bag? One of the golden panchax! Curiosity must have got the better of her! She must have jumped in when I wasn't looking! I love the Panchax, they have so much character and have a mouth that gives the appearance that they are permanently grinning! |

| | Moderator | I had to look up panchax..never heard of them LOL ...great looking fish!!!! almost like a wild betta...and they breed easily so it says...the golden ones are awesome looking... just keep an eye out on your water parimeters adding that many fish at once..you want to make sure your bacteria can keep up with the bioload |

Tom | Our panchax fish are really interactive with us, the male comes to the front of the tank as soon as anyone goes near it, he's really bold and has a lot of character! But, he's a bit mean to one of the females, chasing her away from food etc. I must admit they were not my choice to have in the tank, but they are my favourites now due to their character! They were first in the tank, so maybe they just 'own' it!

Kirsty | They are very nice fish, and you are lucky that yours are very interactive compared to many of the killifish that I have had in the past.

| | Fish Bum | she did it again!! We were adding another red eye and a couple of corys and during one five minute water adding interval a female panchax jumped in the bag again! I looked in the bag and there she was, looking out at me and 'smiling'! One second later and one splash later and she was back in the tank...! |
