Do you think his fins will ever look like the pic in my sig again?..They are looking rough and has red splotches around the damage areas.

Just give him plenty melafix (dose the tank for 5 days straight), I have seen them recover from worse. It will take about a good month for them to grow back like they were.

I'm in a dilemma . Now the Kenyi is nipping at the socolofi even with the light on. The socolofi's fin's appear to be worse today than yesterday. If i can catch the Kenyi in the net it's not going to be good news for it.....I am eating my words now thinking my Kenyi was a dud. It doesn't look like the socolofi will make it until the 55 gal is ready at this rate.. Any ideas?

Do you have even a 5g tank? If so put the socolfi in it until it heals

I just bought a divider to stick in the tank. Boy the hassle this fish is putting me through to save him , he better be grateful lol. When i set the new tank up the fish store recommended putting the new fish in first, then the Kenyi, then the socolofi after he's healed. I think he might go in my spare 20 gal tank till he's better...at this rate it may be a month.

With the divider in they are up against the fence(what i call it) trying to get at each other. The socolofi doesn't realize what will happen if the divider gets yanked out as he is going crazy up against it. They say cichlids have personality....i guess that's what you can call it...
