My Java Moss is BOILING!!!
I can't believe it's working, but it is!!! hehehe Here's 2 new pics from my Asian tank ( http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/me...wamp-tank.html). I finally got my hands on a RedSea CO2 Regulator for paintball canisters, and it's made an amazing difference over the yeast fermentors. My tank is literally boiling! I'm not exagerating, there are literally hundreds and hundreds of O2 bubbles either on or streaming off leaves everywhere! It's hard to get good pics of the bubble streams, but check these 2 pics out. This is the Java moss, and it literally looks like a tiny christmas tree with thousands of tiny crystal balls everywhere.
Pretty cool, huh?

Tiny Bubbles Tiny bubbles in the wine,
make me happy, make me feel fine,
tiny bubbles make me warm all over
with a feeling that I'm gonna love you 'til the end of time.
So here's to the golden moon,
and here's to the silver sea,
and mostly here's a toast to you and me
Tiny bubbles in the wine,
make me happy, make me feel fine,
tiny bubbles make me warm all over
with a feeling that I'm gonna love you 'til the end of time.
Tiny bubbles in the wine,
make me happy, make me feel fine,
tiny bubbles make me warm all over
with a feeling that I'm gonna love you 'til the end of time.

With a feeling that I'm gonna love you 'til the end of time.

RedSea makes a regulator kit to use on refillable 20oz. and 24oz. paintball canisters. This is the link:
http://www.redseafish.com/co2_pro.asp
Unfortunately, they will not sell it directly to you, but most LFS's carry RedSea products and can probably order it. I talked to the guy at the LFS in Tampa, Fish-World, that has one at home (he's the one that recommendedit to me), and his lasts roughly a month before he gets it refilled. What he does, and what I'll do this weekend, is get a second canister and fill it. Then I can just swap them out when it runs low.
I'm telling you, its a nice system, a bit expensive, but after sinking so much $$$ into this tank already, it was worth it.

I payed about 165, and mine had everything but the timer (to shut it off at night). So yes, it's more or less around the same. The canister ran around $25.00 I think for a 24 oz (the slightly bigger one).
The biggest thing is to make sure what kind of canisters it's made for. There are a couple different kinds, and the one I bought was CLEARLY labeled, in big letters, for PAINTBALL CO2 canisters. Make double sure if you're using paintball canisters, or whatever kind, that the regulator matches before you buy it and end up stuck with the wrong type.

Just be sure to have it filled correctly ( buy weight , not pressure ) . CO2 is stored under pressure as a liquid , thats why they are sold as 20 oz 24 oz etc bottles.
Never tamper with the burst disk ( use approved parts ) as this is a safety device , if the bottle gets too hot from being in the sun or car it will start to increase the pressure inside the bottle and the disk is designed to pop to release the pressure rather than the bottle go BANG.
And years ago they used to sell 40oz bottles for guys who shot lots of paint
I use to spend all my spare cash playing paintball , now its on fish...lol
