ok, here is the info, pictures to come (I have a hard time getting shots of them and not much time to try)
- Age: Brought them home in March or 09 as fry, about the size of my pinky finger nail. not sure how old they were then, but I have had them 8 months since. The larger one is about 5 inches nose to tail, and the smaller one is about 3/4 the size, both have strong colour (unless the larger one gets in a mood, then the smaller one fades for a few hours due to the stress)
- Food: Started them on Cichlid Attack small sinking pellets, now eat medium Cichlid Gold sinking pellets, and as soon as the bag is gone they are going to large size. (about a month supply left) They get a half shot glass of blood worms with some pellets once a week after a
water change. They dont like
krill, and I have a big frozen bag of them if you have fish they do to go home with you. Not to many blood worms left (about 3 water change snacks worth)
- Water changes preformed once a week, anywhere from 30 to 45% depending on how messy they have been with their food that week. They are comfortable with the water changes and actually stay out of the caves and watch/wait for the blood worms. They have been in the 75g the whole time. Only had one other JD in there with them, before they paired and became aggressive towards her
- They lip lock quick a bit, and swim circles around each other. The larger one can get aggressive at times, but I have not had to separate them.
ummmm, I cant really think of anything else right now. If you are interested let me know and we can set something up. I hope to find someone who likes JDs and understands their temperment.
Cheers!
Dave
