Jacks tank mates

Ive got two jacks in my 65 gallon tank.

Both are females and about 6 inches long.

I was just wondering what other kind of fish make good tank mates.

I'd like to get some more activity going in there!

Thanks buddys

hmmm you can get convicts, although they get very aggressive during mating season, blood parrots are also good.

Do you have any about 4-6 inches?

I was thinking if i put them in at a smaller size and younger age, I might have a better chance of them being less agessive.

Just a thought.

what about a green terror?

If I start all the fish at a similar size?

I would say no to Aequidens Rivulatus in a 65 gallon tank. These fish get big and bulky and while some seem to be calm and cool most are not. I just don't think that size tank would work with them and other fish.

I am confused here.
Is this correct.... you want an EBJD and a green terror now?

If the answer is yes I would say no. the green terror is going to grow way faster than the EBJD and eventually eat it for lunch. If I am missing something let me know.

the JDs grow to around 7-8 inches and the GTs get to be around 6. Why do you say that the GTs would eat it for lunch? My two GTs get a long fine with my two Jacks. Understandable that the EBJD is a teeny bit smaller than the JD and may be a little less aggressive as well, but I see no reason why these two species cant live together...

Are we talking about regular jacks here? If so it won't work, even the other way that is a lot of fish in a 65gal tank.
Most male Jack's should reach 9-10" with females a few inches smaller. And some males a bit bigger.
Now Green Terrors females may stop at 6", but males can grow to upwards of 12", while most get to 8-10".

That EBJD is a bit of a slow grower, the green terror if taken care of properly should grow rather quickly. Yes eventually it will eat the EBJD, if purchased at the same size and time, I think it will eat the EBJD as it will grow much faster.
