Good new and bad.....

Good news, 2 of my 3 Dempseys have paired off!! They are still so young, but are together like GLUE! Ill grab some pictures of them soon and post them up, they are a good looking pair.

Bad news, I had to take my rescue JD into Big Al's to find her a good home. When the other 2 paired, they started beating her up and I feared for her safety. I was going to put some pictus cats in there too, but decided to get another 75g and start up a community tank to resolve my need for more fish. LOL

I'm going to start introducing live foods soon, right now they are still on a diet of Cichild Attack sinking pellets and frozen blood worms after a water change. They LOVE the blood worms, so I think they are going to adore live foods. I'm going to start with worms and go from there.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for fry!

awesome news for the pair! and very responsible fish lover for re homing the picked on one......cant wait to see pics....when are you getting your 75 g? thats awesome as well!!!

jd's love live foods..they actually love all foods lol (as most fish) just dont use feeders from your LFS as they are not the best quality and are a major cause of hole in the head disease with our fish babies!

two of the same sex will bond and pair up also just means you wont have a spawn of course, but the same sexes will form a very close bond with dempseys
