| I got them!!!!!! but its going to take a miracle to bring them back ...the water in their bucket had a reading over 8ppm's (thats as high as my test kit goes) for ammonia and im not sure how they will recover but im giving it my best!!!! ....amazing fish and the guy was trying to do right by them....I gave him $35 because I know how much they are at the LFS($50 for a 2 inch juvie) and he needed the cash to move...I also felt like I was jipping him so I gave him the extra.... | You can do it Shawnie. Once you get them past acclimation, we both know it's a matter of clean water and good diet!
Congrats! |

| Oh my....
Well I know you will do your best, however it works out. That's all you can possibly do. Hopefully they will turn around.
Any chance of QT or a tank divider for the little guy? Just a guess, might help. |

| hes in a tank now where he will be fine and can heal(im praying )...he was beat up before I got him but they were in a 10 gal and ill admit, I wanted to rescue them badly but I have also been looking for ebjd's forever...and the price was so good for me....(I deleted the OP add for craigslist that I got them from so the owner wouldnt get any hassles as he really was trying with these fish...unforeseen circumstances has caused him not to get his 55 gal tank ) |

I have confidence in you that you can pull them through.

| Really? I actually read that in the ad, as well as the fact that they were in a 10 gallon. I've had some pretty negative experiences with roommates in the past though, and could understand where he is coming from. |

Congrats on the EBJDs~ They are beautiful... I love the coloring of the JD in the second photo.. amazing. And that JD in the first photo, awww.. I feel for him, so skinny he is. I know you will be able to fatten them up and get them healthy again. Best of luck with them.. and look forward to future photos of how well they have bounced back under your loving care. |
