they should be fine but i've never had jack dempseys so i don't know but they should be fine

it would probably depend on the size of the snail compared to the size of the JD, and if the JD is a juvie and you're getting a very large snail then it should be okay but hopefully someone that has kept them together before will see this thread and give you a more definitive answer

I have 2 Apple Snails in my Cichlid tank. The Oscar chucks them around sometimes but doesn't hurt them. The Jd's leave them alone. I'd say they'd be fine.
