I'm thinking female but I wanted a second opinion.



I wish this picture would have turned out a little better. She is mostly black with a lot of blue - which turned out brown in the picture. Currently she's around 4".

I also believe i is a female although it is very hard to sex a cichlid of this size and young age. The short more rounded dorsal and anal fins give some pointers to what the sex may be. Also the more dark coloring may also be a hint.

Deff a female! Rounded dorsal tip and anal. Also the spots on her gill plate go all the way down. On a male they don't.
