My juvi JD's

Ok, so I've been watching my JD's for quite some time and it seems as though one is getting much bigger then the other, as if one is growing and one isn't, the larger one is chasing the smaller one away, I think it might be nipping at the others fins, but I don't see any damage to the smaller fish.. can someone advise me in what I should do..

also the smaller one seems to be hiding at the top of the water intake tube of my filter, it also hides at the top of my one powerhead, it's color is very dark as well. someone please tell me what to do?

Hmmm...try rearranging tank decor/hiding spots. Not sure what else you can do. This is why I only bought one JD when I got him awhile back.

thank you so much for suggesting i move things around, i set it up so they each have a cave at either end of the tank, and some rock in between. They are back to swimming with each other again and rubbing up against each other (for now) however when they are on one side of the tank for long periods of time, they get darker in color, could this be because I have my heater on the left side of the tank? should I put it in the middle so both side are equal?

I got an amazing fake silk plant at wally world(not sure how you feel about fake plants) that is about 2 feet long..its almost like a wreath but with huge leaves..I cut it in half, and just arranged it long way in my tank and my jd's have a great hiding spot to get away from one another...I would take out the agressor, and rearrange as alyeskagirl said...then about 1/2 later, put the nawty one back in ....a fake log or anything for them to hide in is something they need also...heres a couple examples that helped my guys alot...ignore the angel whos a picture hog LOL ...you can see the jd's in one of the pics tho

not a bad idea Shawnie, I'm actually not one for fake plants though, my dad is going to be giving me some real ones from his planted community tank, I just gotta get the right lights, I'm also going to be getting a 90g tank which I was originally going to be using for a community tank but I've decided to just transfer my jd's into that one. the 90g is 4 feet wide (long) 2 feet high and 16 inches deep so these little guys will have plenty of room to get away from each other. here are some pics of my tank now.

its actually not a room issue, its more of an open im nekid issue...they like to hide...open space is intimidating to them ...but the space is great
