| I think its all good. If they have been in that tank for year without problems theres no need to worry now. Just make sure they have some hiding places. |

| Welcome to FishLore!!!
You will need to re-home the chinese algae eaters soon. As they grow, they will stop eating algae and kill all of your other fish. Other than that, I think you're good to go! |

Its sounds like your fish are doing fine in the 55g tank and you are not overcrowded at all, actually understocked. Do you have any plans for any additions to your tank?
Your CAE's should be ok, as you have some fast moving and semi aggressive to aggressive fish in your tank. I do not think they will be bothered by the CAE's. CAE's tend to bother slow moving fish such as Discus and Angels, Severums.. those types of fish.
Best of luck with your tank and fish! |

You are fully stocked already, and especially don't get a tank buster like a red devil. There is a reason cichlids are named after very violent people/things. Its only a matter of time before things jump off.
I am quite surprised you have not had any trouble over the past year. Any of those fish in a healthy state ( JD and Convicts) should be fighting, and the convicts should be pairing up and laying eggs. This tells me they are stressed and something is up. Some underlying issue causing them not to be themselves.
At any rate, don't get any more. Unless of course you upgrade tanks. But even then you would be looking at a 90-100gal to house the fish you want/have IMO. |

I've put your two threads together since they were asking the same question.
This makes it easier for you to keep track of the answers and the members will know what advise has already been given.
If you have a different question, always feel free to start a new thread.
I'm sorry, I don't know enough about the type of fish you have to help you.
However, there are plenty here who do and are always happy to help. |

| Personally I do not think that you are overstocking your tank, tho others may not agree with me on this. But I do believe that your 55g is large enough for two JDs,3 convicts and two CAE's. I would not add a green terror tho. |

| Do you have all of one sex of convicts? I'm surprised with three they have not started breeding yet. If they start breeding all **** will probably break loose. Most people suggest that you just put one JD in a 55gal or a pair. I have a pair in my 75, that I just noticed laid eggs in one of the flower pots again, and when she doesn't want to breed every month or two he will chase her in and out and from behind pots, the filter, rocks... They are a pair that has bred about 15 times, and he still does this, and they are in a 75gal. Another cichlid is defiantly out of the question. |
