I believe I have dying Jack Dempsey. Yesterday he was just laying at the bottom of the fish tank. I did about 20-25% water change last night. Today I found him swimming at the top. My three other cichlids are swimming around just fine. Jack is my oldest fish. I've had him for four years. He's HUGE! I have a 90 gallon tank. I have not checked my Any suggestions. BTW he was also injured by the log I have in my tank. That's was along time ago but it never fully healed. As far as I can tell it does not look at all infected.

Hi jls3421,

Do you have a quarantine tank (QT) you can isolate him in?
If you do, pop him in the QT and add a few drops of Methylene Blue for his injury.
Change 50% water every day if you don't have a filter in your QT.
Every 3rd day add a few drops of Methylene Blue.
