Ok so i have a juevinile jack dempsey thats around 3" in my what i normally call 65G, but i hav worked it out to be around 70G in U.S Gallons so, its in my 70G community, which i know it shouldnt be but the other fish are only there while he or she is small, anyway i was wondering how i could sex my JD i will try and post a pic. any advice one sexing my JD will be very helpful thanks

digital camera has no battery power. Grr. lol. So pics will be around this time tomorrow or maybe a bit earlier, i'll TRY and describe it, its got the kind of bump on its head, dark coloured body but with very blue gills and lips, also blue on fins which are quite large for its size i believe, the fins are also outlined by red

At 3" you should be able to sex with no problem. Here's an example for you. Male on the right. Female on left. Gill plates tell you the difference.

hmmm mine are opposite..my male has more spangles on the gill plate than the fem...which is totally opposite in that pic LOL
