I can't see pictures - only dots (.)
I've noticed this a lot here - Is it a problem with the uploaded image or an issue on my side.

* try uploading them again, or failing that - linking to them.

- Wonder why I can't see them.

I've noticed this problem on various posts in this forum.
Wonder why...?

the best way I can tell you how to sex is a few ways...

1. males are larger with more pointed anal fins...
2. males dont have as much blue on the gill plate where fems do
3. the fems have less color and on the bottom of their bellys are more solid and less speckled...

my jacks are totally submissive and once the jacks are 3-4 inches they get way more color....

the small one is about 5 years old and maybe 7" to 7 1/2" and the bigger less colorful one is 7 to 8 years old about 8 1/2" long.

from what ive been told.

i noticed in the 1st pic you have a yellow cichlid (sorry i don't know the actual name) but do the jacks and the yellow one get along? I have a couple of those yellow guys in a seperate tank from my jacks and I would love to put them together however I didnt think that they would stand a chance against the dempsey's.
