Submissive Jack?

I have a juvenile Jack about 3in in a tank with a blood parrot fish, and lately the parrot fish seems to really be bossing Jack around. Literally pushing him around the tank, hitting him etc. He can't hurt him because the parrots mouth doesn't open to the poijnt where he can bite, but he is constantly pestering jack. They have separate "houses" and are exactly the same size. I find it wierd that an aggresive fish like a jack is not defending himself or even fighting back, he just lets himself get pushed around and head butted. I am thinking about seperating them, but will I be able to put Jack in my other tank that I have African Cichlids and a green sevrum in? He is the same size, but they have all been living together for a long time now. I love my Jack and want to give him some peace. I dont think I can stick the parrot fish in with the other cichlids as they would definatgely do the fin biting etc since he has big fins. Thanks

I'm not too familiar with the blood parrot, but I do know that it is a hybrid fish that may have red devil genes in it. If this is the case, I could easily imagine the fish trying to control the aquarium. How long have you had the fish in the aquarium together?
It could be as easy as a real passive jack and a real aggressive B P. My experience with J D's is that, while they are labeled as aggressive, in a community aquarium, they are generally more passive than aggressive. Especially if they are new to the aquarium.
You may want to re arrange the aquarium. This may cause the B P to be more passive, but like I said, I have no experience with BP's.
