Nose Bump

So Hank, my shark constantly bumps into the sides of the tank, which I know is inevitable. I put a couple of plants to kind of buffer the bumping, but he smacked himself pretty well this time. He had a sore on his nose for the past couple of weeks, and I purchased some Melafix and put a dose in the tank yesterday Well this morning the bump has turned into a swollen, bulbous lump and I'm not sure if what I've put into the tank has hurt him more. Please help! What can I do to help this thing heal? There are no other fish in the tank, no live plants or anything else to worry about but the shark.

Thanks in advance!

Honestly, it's not going to stop unless you get him in a large tank ASAP.
ID sharks will need 300 gal. +. They reach 4 ft.
Is there any way that you can get him into at least a 75 + gal.?
Or possibly find a home for him that is a LARGE tank.
ID sharks are large fish.

ID sharks have the nick name "Tank Busters" for a reason. When they spook they run into the glass. Also as Amanda says they get big! They're monstrous size fish that like to be in groups.

Sorry I can't help you with the bump on his nose.

I have heard that ID sharks have poor eye sight during the day because they are a nocturnal fish. And when they panic they swim very fast without knowing what's ahead. Maybe that's the main reason. I have seen the same behavior from my Id sharks too. But since i have a specious (400+ gallon) aquarium they don't bump often. And i haven't provided too much light too.
Yeah you need a bigger aquarium for ID sharks
