Just to follow up last nights concerns I went to the local
LFS and had them test my water. All came back ok with a very very slight trace of
ammonia. I Also bought a new
test kit and re-did the test when I got home. They are as follows:
nitrite----0
nitrate---0
pH-------6.8
ammonia-- midway between 0 and .25
They recommended to clean as much gravel as possible with a 20 gallon
water change; which I did. Since it was also recommended to increase water temp to 80, while treating ick, to now slowly reduce it to 75 degrees. They also gave me melafix for an anti-bacterial medication. I sold them 5 of the 7 4" sharks- keeping one albino and one black iridescent both 4". I also am still treating the 8-10" albino hoping for the best.
