Getting Worried

My husband and I decided that were going to keep that shark, because we love him so much and were going to invest in a MUCH bigger tank at the end of the month. The last few day's he's not been fareing well at all. He has failed so much I can almost see threw him, he isn't eating and almost all of his colour has faded away. I just changed the lighting in my fish tank. Its the same as the other bulbs that were in there but I had one burnt out for a bit. Could it be the lighting or do I just have a really sick fish?

Tank size?
Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?
Water change frequency and %?
Feeding?
How many & what kind of fish?
Any physical or behavioral changes aside from fading?
Any other fish acting strange?
Any changes made to tank recently?

The amonia and nitrate levels are fine, and I change 25 percent of the water on sundays and wendsdays. He is a striped irridecent shark and he's in with some molly's and platy's and small tetras. Everyone else seems to be fine . We know we have to get him into a much bigger tank ASAP. My daughter brought him home as a surprise and we only have a ten gallon. Were purchaseing a 55 gallon as my birthday present. That will be our tank for about a year and then we will be moving that into my office and purchaseing an even bigger one hopefully 200 gallon's. His flesh looks to have a different texture to it. And he is hiding alot and he seem's to be blind. He was a walmart rescue. eeek.

Sounds to be sick. THe fish will top over 12" in a year so I would atleast get a 75 so he can turn around. Do you see him eat?

Amm should be 0
nitRITE 0
and nitrate 2-20
