Help with these sharks please

Could i get some help here please --- I purchased these sharks at petco 3 days ago, he said they go best with 2 or more, so i decided to purchase 2 and since it's split between me and my girlfriend she bought 2 gold priscella tetra's. The tetra's are very active moving around all day everyday, but the 2 sharks sit behind a plant all day. I have read alot about maybe there fear of the light in the tank, but at home my parents have a 200-500 gallon tank and they taught me light on all day, turned off at bedtime, feed in morning when you awake, feed at night before light goes off so that's what i have been doing since light is on half a day off half a day, they leave this spot for a bit and the one will hide under the little ship i have in there, and the other will swim behind the ship while, one's in it, i have only 3 plants in there, cause i read they need tons of swimming room, and this little ship going into a small catheral with the post knocked down, simulating the ship went in it, are the sharks sick? or do they need no light, but will that affect the tetra's? I was planning on starting this guys small and continueing to build my tank bigger and bigger till they could go into my pond, but there have no active movement what so ever, and i'm worried they may not even be eating, since when i put food in there they don't leave there spot? Has anyone had this same problem?

If you just added them they will probably sit around until used to it. They dont like direct light. Mine stay in only half the tank because only half have floating cover.

Give it a day or 2 and they should be fine
