| Re: Tank starting out I think so. They use photosynthesis. They may be a fish. I fed him a lil slice of fish and he ate that thing fast.
Edited to add: My live rock comes in tomorrow and I will get a pic of it before it goes in the tank
Mike,
What should I do if I find bristle worms or mantis shrimp? |

| Re: Tank starting out Wow, so they photosynthesize AND they eat like normal fish? How does it eat chunks of food? They open up like a flower and they grab the food, or what? LOL I don't quite get it, lol. Aren't these creatures amazing? I think that I have to set up a saltwater tank at some point in my life too. It would be so cool! But first, I'd have to read a lot about it as I know completely nothing about setting up and maintenance of a saltwater tank.
Anyways, good luck with your beautiful tank |

| Re: Tank starting out What I do is take a piece of fish like squid and touch its tentacle with it.It will the grab the food from my fingers and slowly bring it to the center where the mouth is. then it eats it. Not all clownfish will make the anemone its home.I may buy 2 false perculas "nemo" and a skunk cleaner shrimp "like jaque from finding nemo" I am going to wait 2 weeks since I added the live rock. Crabs and other inverts will come out of the rocks and I will get pics of them as well.
If I can make a movie of me feeding the anemone I will show it to you on here. If not I will broadcast it on youtube |

| Re: Tank starting out They grow up to 3" and they are the most peaceful out of all clowns. there true name is A. ocellaris. Crabs hide in the holes of the live rock. They hide in there for a while till they are comfortable to come out and check out there surroundings. There is also clams, mollusks, starfish, worms and other creatures hiding inside it. |

| Re: Tank starting out Could be longer, depends on the cycle. Unfortunately the UK gets the best LR with the most life on it. Let us know what you find in your rock, see any bristleworms yet? |
